The Australia Awards Scholarships 2025 are now open for Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral programs from February 1, 2025. Students from Australia’s partner countries, particularly in the Indo-Pacific region, are eligible to apply for this fully funded scholarship, which includes stipends up to AUD 34,500 per year. The application deadline is April 30, 2025.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for an Australia Awards Scholarship, applicants must:

  • Be a minimum of 18 years old on 1 February of the year the scholarship commences.
  • Be a citizen of a participating country and apply from their country of citizenship.
  • Not hold Australian or New Zealand citizenship or permanent residency.
  • Not be married to, engaged to, or a de facto partner of someone who holds or is eligible to hold Australian or New Zealand citizenship or permanent residency.
  • Not be currently serving military personnel.
  • Not have previously received a long-term Australia Award unless they have resided outside of Australia for twice the length of the total time they were in Australia.
  • Meet any specific criteria established by the applicant’s country of citizenship.
  • Complete the admission requirements of the Australian institution at which the award is to be undertaken.
  • Satisfy all requirements of the Australian Department of Home Affairs for a Student Visa (subclass 500).
