RIKEN R-IH Summer Internship 2025 Fully Funded

This internship, hosted by the Guardian Robot Project (GRP), allows participants to gain hands-on experience in Japan’s advanced tech. industry with leading experts of the field. The internship offers ¥200,000 to ¥250,000 per month. Deadline to apply for this internship is 24 March 2025.

Internship Duration

Applicants can choose between two program durations:

• Long Stay Program (Type A): July 24 – September 19, 2025 (8 weeks)
• Short Stay Program (Type B): August 21 – September 19, 2025 (4 weeks)

At the end of the internship, all participants will present their research findings on September 12, 2025.

Internship Location

The program takes place at the Guardian Robot Project (GRP) research facility in Kyoto, Japan.

Eligibility Requirements

• Open to undergraduate, master’s, and PhD students, as well as recent graduates.
• Applicants should be studying a field relevant to the internship (e.g., science, engineering, technology).
• Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of Japanese is a plus.
• Strong academic records and a passion for research.
• Applicants are generally expected to be under 35 years old.
